Apps Compatible with StikDebug
StikDebug enables JIT (Just-In-Time) compilation for sideloaded apps on iOS 17.4+. This page focuses on the apps people search for most, including emulators, virtual machines, container workflows, and other sideloaded apps that benefit from on-device JIT. Compatibility still depends on the app, its entitlements, and your iOS version.
Emulators
- Dolphin Emulator (DolphiniOS) - GameCube and Wii emulation. One of the highest-value JIT use cases because Dolphin depends heavily on dynamic recompilation for playable performance.
- PPSSPP - PSP emulator. JIT usually delivers a major speed improvement and helps stabilize gameplay in heavier PSP titles.
- PojavLauncher - Minecraft Java Edition on iOS. JIT helps with modpacks, shader-heavy worlds, and Java runtime overhead.
- Amethyst - Experimental emulator support that has appeared in StikDebug's universal script history.
- MeloNX - Another emulator use case that benefits from the same sideloaded JIT pipeline.
Virtual Machines, Containers & Development
- UTM - Run virtual machines on iPhone and iPad. JIT helps reduce the heavy emulation overhead that comes with desktop operating systems.
- LiveContainer - Helpful for JIT-required apps launched through a container workflow, especially on newer iOS 26 setups.
- Geode - Development and modding-related tools that can benefit from the StikDebug JIT workflow.
General Debugging
StikDebug is not limited to emulators. The official project describes JIT support for sideloaded apps that have the get-task-allow entitlement, plus live logs, scripts, app expiry tracking, process management, and location simulation. If you develop or sideload custom apps that rely on runtime code generation or debugging access, StikDebug may help.
Compatibility Notes
- iOS 17.4-18.x: Officially described by the project as fully supported and stable.
- iOS 26+: Supported, but app availability depends on whether the target app has been updated for newer iOS behavior.
- iOS 26.4: The 3.1.0 release added support, but it requires a fresh pairing file because of the newer connection stack.
- Sideloading: AltStore, SideStore, LiveContainer, and Sideloadly are the most common installation paths for StikDebug-compatible apps.
How to Enable JIT for These Apps
- Install StikDebug using our Installation Guide
- Set up iLoader and create a pairing file (one-time setup)
- Install your target app (for example Dolphin, PPSSPP, UTM, or PojavLauncher) via sideloading
- Open StikDebug, connect, and enable JIT for the app
- Launch your app - JIT will be active
For detailed steps, see our Installation Guide and Troubleshooting page.
